Controversial Projects, Capital Reality & Critical Minerals | February on Dig Deep
2nd March 2026
We began with a candid conversation on Pebble, one of the most scrutinised projects in the world, examining the intersection of engineering reality, environmental sensitivity and political outcomes. We also looked at why tungsten and titanium are increasingly central to global supply chain security, and what differentiated assets mean in a tightening critical minerals market.
Elsewhere, we discussed how to identify real value in junior mining, the risks hidden in capital structures, and why people and jurisdiction often matter more than geology. We explored the legal battles that shape major projects, the role of community-building in strengthening the sector, and whether changing who controls capital could reshape mining’s future.
From geopolitics and commodity strategy to governance, inclusion and risk management, February’s conversations offer practical insight into the forces influencing decision-makers across the industry.

Starting 2026 Strong: Potash, Helium, Gold Royalties & Mining Leadership

Alongside this, our conversations took a deeper look at the structural challenges behind mining’s boom-and-bust cycles, lessons from decades in mining finance, and how leadership and culture directly impact reliability and performance on site. We also discussed the fundamentals of building a gold royalty business in today’s market and the practical risks and realities of developing a copper-gold mine in Brazil.

Newsletter: Mining International Q4 Update: Insights, Activity and Looking Ahead
19th December 2025
As we approach the end of the year, Q4 has largely been characterised by a slower pace of recruitment across the mining industry. That said, sentiment across the sector remains positive. Capital continues to flow into mining, commodity prices have remained supportive, and importantly, we have seen an encouraging increase in client engagement and conversations during December, suggesting momentum is beginning to turn.
